Polylactic Acid or Polylactide (PLA) is a Thermoplastic polymer (Moldable at high temperatures, while solid and robust on cooling). It is 100% Bio-degradable and is environmentally friendly.

The polymerization of lactic acid produces a polylactic acid polymer.
